Tiger’s eye Pillbox Salimbeni with Border in oval domed gemstone on lid 925/1000 sterling silver gold plated with border. 1950s Florentine style. Measures 2.2 x 2.7 cm. Weight gr. 18. Designed in 1951 and produced in 1973 at the Salimbeni firm with workmanship by skilled artisans also hardstone cutters. Eye of the Tiger Tiger’s eye is a hard stone, a variety of quartz and owes its name to the color that strongly recalls the eyes of the most elegant and imposing of felines: the tiger. Always considered a lucky stone, modern crystal therapy attributes to Tiger’s eye the ability to be a remedy for anxiety (it would have the aptitude to restore the calm necessary to make the most important decisions). Brown and golden yellow lends itself to the combination with the color of gold for precious jewels and accessories for both men and women.
